Situated within Fairmount Park, Memorial Hall c. 1876 is a museum wedding venue located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This historic property dates back to America’s 1876 Centennial Exhibition, when it was constructed as an art gallery. Today, it is one of the flagship venues of Brûlée Catering and the home of the Please Touch Museum. The building is just 21 minutes from the Philadelphia Airport, making it conveniently accessible to locals and out-of-town guests alike. A National Historic Landmark, this sweeping architectural masterpiece makes for a dramatic backdrop to create timeless memories.

Facilities and Capacity
Couples looking to tie the knot at Memorial Hall c. 1876 can rent the entire museum or single event spaces within it. The whole building can accommodate up to 3,000 people for truly spectacular events, while individual rooms suit weddings of different styles and sizes. Hamilton Hall, which can hold up to 650 guests, features glamorous Arts Beaux architecture and 60-feet ceilings that culminate in an impressive dome. This room also hosts a towering replica of the Statue of Liberty, made from toys by renowned artist Leo Sewell. Boasting similarly resplendent architectural flourishes, the South Foyer accommodates 450 guests. Parties of 200 can gather in the Carousel House, a unique space with elegant furniture and a fully restored and operating hand-crafted 1908 Dentzel Carousel. The East Gallery is a two-floor, 1,000-person capacity hall with whimsical attractions including a rainforest atmosphere and Alice in Wonderland-inspired decor. The West Gallery also holds 1,000 people and offers interactive exhibits such as a SEPTA bus and a replica of an urban environment. Visitors can also peruse the Centennial Gallery, where a recreation of the 1876 Centennial Exhibition is on display.

Amazing unexpected wedding venue

We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at the Please Touch Museum! Our guests are still talking about how great everything was. The entire process was easy and the venue was gorgeous. We were able to have a beautifully elegant wedding while still incorporating some fun elements. We would definitely recommend this venue for anyone looking for a unique wedding.

I had the perfect Wedding at Memorial Hall

I cannot say enough amazing things about my wedding at Memorial Hall aka The Please Touch Museum and Brûlée Catering.
Every person I worked with was accommodating and compassionate. Terri is an absolute angel. Our bridal attendant was superb. Every single guest raved about the food! All the appetizers were unreal and the main dishes were to die for.
Planning the event went so smoothly and I felt so confident going into the wedding day that everything was going to be perfect and it absolutely was perfect. And I know I had the most unique and beautiful reception venue. I mean the carousel sold me the minute I saw it and everyone was FLOORED by the beauty of Hamilton Hall. I cannot recommend Memorial Hall/ The Please Touch Museum enough.

The Perfect Wedding

Our wedding on 11/19/22 was absolutely perfect. The entire process of planning was so smooth and easy, the whole team at The Please Touch Museum were beyond helpful and a delight to work with. I can not say enough wonderful things about the beautiful space, the absolutely incredible food, the flawless service and attention to detail. I am a wedding planner myself so I know first hand the amount of work that goes into weddings and Lynnelle was phenomenal. I am absolutely blown away by the entire experience. From our first meeting I knew that this was the place for us to get married. As someone in the business, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to relax at my own wedding or get out of planner mode, but having people like Lynnelle and her team (shout out to Rosie who also made sure our every need was taken care of before we even knew it) made it possible for me to fully experience being the client/guest and not spend a moment worried that some detail was going to be overlooked. The whole day felt like a dream. A perfect dream. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Stunning.
